The development objective of the NRML Programme is “to contribute to improving the livelihoods of poor rural people and the sustainable management of natural resources through good NR management and governance arrangements”. The Danida appraisal of the Programme was completed by 11 November 2005. The Programme documents were finalized in April 2006. Below are the components of the Programme: • NRM in the Decentralisation and Deconcentration Process • Civil Society and Pro-Poor Markets • NRM Sector and Policy Development with the following sub components: - Land Management - Forestry and Environment Sector - Fisheries Sector The NRML Programme is expected to cover 14 provinces and 707 communes by 2010.
